To create a ramp to adulthood for adolescents of today, who are being brought up in tumultuous times of today. New-age problems like social media pressures, substance abuse, disintegration of families, extreme academic stress, unattainable beauty standards are rampant! Hence adolescents must feel empowered to overcome their issues, and feel supported in their struggles.
The innovation is an app used by adolescents. They can watch content in the form of videos, written pieces, and short story audios. All of this content is about their everyday issues and problems, and it's been written, produced, as well as spoken out by adolescents. I have a team of adolescents from countries around the world and of varying age groups so multiple perspectives and backgrounds are represented here. Also, they join communities based on specific issues and topics they are facing where they meet and interact with other adolescents who are experiencing the same, which helps them feel more accompanied in their struggles.
I have received positive feedback on the app's UX. 95.3% of adolescent users stated they loved the app's design. Furthermore, 97.6% of adolescents said that the content was relevant to them and provided actionable insight into solutions for their problems. 98.6% of adolescents stated they would use Kavach.
I have been working with schools for the past 6 years, taking well-being sessions for their students. Hence, I already have a network of well-being ambassadors in all these schools, and all of them are actively spreading Kavach, making more ambassadors, and spreading awareness about the app.
I have collaborated with Harper Collins Publishers so Kavach is being promoted as a part of their Well-being series for students in their network of schools around the globe.
Kavach's anti-bullying program has been undertaken by more than 700 students, hence I am reaching out to adolescents of my existing network whom I have reached through my past programs and sessions.
Currently, Kavach app has more than 2000 downloads.
