Using a unique blend of arts, coaching, teaching, emotional and cognitive learning; we train young people and young adults, to support vulnerable & at risk learners. This is delivered by designing a bespoke programme, unique to the needs of the institution.

For at risk children and young people to overcome their social/emotional barriers to learning, without being excluded from formal educational institutions, but to do so within the school environment. With unique and responsive quality interactions, children and young people can thrive and find their way in the world.

About the innovation

QIC: Quality Interactions and Creativity Inclusive Education, Mentoring, Exclusion Reduction

Quality Interactions and Creativity (QIC) is a community interest company (CIC) that works with young people and young adults from diverse backgrounds, to support vulnerable and at risk young people with their emotional wellbeing.

We work with vulnerable children and young people in early years, primary and secondary schools (key stage 1 - 5) PRU's, alternative provisions and FE.

Our Mission

To support our most at risk groups, support their emotional wellbeing, raise their self-esteem and create positive, empowered children and young people.

To train young people and adults, to support vulnerable and at risk young people.

Our Vision is to:

to develop their communication & interactive skills.

raise the self-esteem & self-value of children and young people.

to enable young people to reengage with learning & build their problem solving through quality interactions.

Develop role models, leaders and facilitators.

Implementation steps

QIC Implementation Strategy
• Identify 10 young people and adults from diverse backgrounds to join the training.
• Identify the schools who will be beneficiaries of the QIC programme.
Stage 1: The young people and young adults will participate in the 2 step QIC training programme. This process enables young people and adults to develop leadership and facilitation skills, creativity as a teaching and learning tool and the ability to engage with wider issues, as well as issues directly affecting them and their communities.
