Tailor-Mades
In Tailor-Made projects, we work alongside education providers and funders to help them implement innovations. Simultaneously, we help innovators to expand, deepen, and sustain their impact across different contexts.
What is a Tailor-Made?
Globally, individuals and institutions are finding new ways to address pressing challenges in education systems by creating novel approaches and solutions. However, in education, the scaling of successful solutions from a few schools widespread use has been challenging.
Who is it for?
We seek to equip educational systems with the structure, frameworks, processes, and capacity required to successfully adapt and implement high impact innovations, that deliver better learning outcomes.
The process
It’s all in the name: Each Tailor-Made solves a unique, local challenge. Each project includes these four phases.
We identify the actual gaps, needs and challenges that need to be addressed.
We identify impactful and scaleable innovations that have been proven to address the challenge in other contexts.
We work with the schools to test and adapt the innovation to the context.
The Learning Workbook documents learnings from the process, helping you quickly and effectively scale up the implementation of the innovation.

Helsinki Education Division
Helsinki Education Division and HundrED are working together to identify and test innovations that will support student wellbeing in Helsinki schools and kindergartens. Together, we aim to take a view of the whole child and help students to have more opportunities to exercise their agency, leading to a greater sense of student well-being. This project is based on the Spotlight conducted in 2019.
Swedish speaking vocational institutions
HundrED and Konstsamfundet; a foundation supporting culture for the Swedish speaking Finns, has launched a Tailor-Made project in Swedish language technical and vocational schools. The goal of the project is to identify and test education innovations working in the domain of student well-being.
Parents as Allies
Parents as Allies is transforming education systems through family-school collaboration in Pennsylvania, USA. The work is done through 22 school districts implementing different kinds of family school engagement hacks and strategies to build trust within the school community. HundrED's work in the project is based on the Spotlight on Parental Engagement.
